of all ages. Educational excellence begins with Early Childhood Education and
is a life-long commitment in the community of Cambridge! The public school
system of Cambridge-Isanti
ISD# 911 school district offers specialty classes along with its core
curriculum as well as year-round options for grades K-8.
ISD# 911 Community Education provides an array of classes, trainings
and physical fitness opportunities. Since 1978, the
Cambridge Christian School K-12 programs have fostered spiritual and
academic growth in a Christ-centered environment. The
Cambridge Campus of Anoka Ramsey Community College is located in the
city on the banks of the scenic Rum River and is the pride of the community.
They offer a variety of two-year degrees and transfer programs. The campus also
is home to the Minnesota Small Business Development
Center Satellite office.

Government
The local government of the City of
Cambridge is organized as a Mayor and four Council members. The
City of Cambridge is branded for economic development purposes as
Minnesota's Opportunity Community City officials and staff take great
pride in the community and are receptive to the concerns of the citizens of
Cambridge. As the Isanti County seat,
Cambridge has a number of county and state services readily available from
family assistance to courthouse and Isanti County
Sheriff's Department. Also located in Cambridge is a
State of Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) facility and
Minnesota Workforce Center.
History
The City of Cambridge, "City on the
Rum River" is located in Isanti County, Minnesota and was established in 1866.
The city sports the name given by settlers from New England, even though
Cambridge and the surrounding area were a haven for Swedish immigrants.
In the early 1900's, Cambridge had first class business facilities, possessing
a potato starch factory, 1,300-barrel flouring mill, a wool carding and
spinning mill, an excellent electric lighting plant, local and long-distance
telephone systems, making Cambridge a desirable community for commerce. More

Braham, Isanti as well as

County Historical Society or come visit their Heritage Museum located
in Cambridge.
