The Cambridge Area Chamber of Commerce is the force behind leadership
development in Isanti County Minnesota. The Chamber strives to involve and
develop present and future community leaders.
The Cambridge Area Chamber of Commerce has successfully recruited citizens to
complete training through a number of statewide programs including the
Initiative Foundation Healthy Community Partnership, Blandin Foundation -
Blandin Community Leadership Program (BCLP) and the former Blandin Community
Investment Partnership (BCIP).
All of these programs engaged citizens to take part in developing the future of
their communities. As a result of the Chamber's efforts the City of Cambridge
was awarded a $375,000 grant from the Blandin Foundation to design and plan a
community housing development which provides workforce housing and integrated
green space. A total of 48 citizens have now become empowered through the
premier residential BCLP leadership training program. As a result of the BCLP
training, an Isanti County Leadership Program was developed!
If not for the Cambridge Area Chamber of Commerce's leadership and vision,
these community opportunities would not have occurred! The trainings were
funded and facilitated through a total of close to $250,000 from the Initiative
Foundation and the Blandin Foundation.
