There are many successful and innovative manufacturers in the Cambridge
community, ranging in size from the one-man shop to those employing hundreds.
All of these businesses play a key role in the economic
development of the Cambridge area.
Cambridge Area Chamber manufacturing sector members are recognized annually
through the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development's,
Minnesota Manufacturing & Technology Week. Industrial sector members are
presented with Certificates of Recognition from the Governor of Minnesota!
Local manufacturers use state-of-the art technology, which allows them to be
leaders nationally and globally! The tax base provided by our local industry
helps make many city projects feasible while relieving some of the tax burden
on area residents.
The availability of a skilled labor force in our Minnesota Region 7E is a great
benefit to new industries. Close to 2,000 employees have secured gainful
employment in the Cambridge and Isanti County industrial sectors.
